We know the importance of a good fitting saddle for the horse and rider, so we build and carry saddles that are comfortable for you, and fit your horse. Out west a ranch hand will spend countless hours in the saddle, and there just isn't anything with a better fit than a Wade. Wades fit just about anything you put them on and the comfort for the rider is unbeatable. So if you like long hours on yer horse, and take long day rides or wagon train rides, give one a try.....you wont be disappointed. Saddle Fitting: is not rocket science and you don't need expensive people coming with machines and fancy stuff to tell you your saddle doesn't fit or it does fit and charge you 100 bucks. If a saddle is too wide on your horse it will tip up on the back when you tighten your cinch, or the gullet may touch the wither. If it is too narrow it will pinch and dig in on the wither, there should be contact when you put slight pressure on it all along the tree on your horses back. When you lay a saddle on your horse and put heavy pressure in a stirrup and it barely moves, you probably have a pretty good fit, if you can get on without a cinch thats a pretty good sign, if it rolls off your horses back with very little pressure in the stirrup, you might not want to ride that one, you horse may buck ya off. If the shoe don't fit!!! Don't wear it!!...... Some common signs of a bad fit are: Bucking Crow hoppin Pinned ears when tightenin a cinch Tryin to bite you when puttin the saddle on Tippin up on the back end If your horse isn't getting free movement, or extension when riding, seems a little tight moving and stiff (sign of a saddle that is too narrow and possibly pinchin the wither and shoulders... Sore Back!!
